Australia is called as the dark continent of the world but if you are an aid traveler, then there is much to explore. Australia has a diverse mix of culture and people. It is not too popular among tourists like UK and US but it is soon catching up. Australia is one of the most sought after destination for education with some of the world’s finest education institutes and now is also gaining popularity for holidaying. It is becoming popular among tourists because of few reasons and one of them being relaxed visa norms. Another reason is that it is a melting pot of people from different countries and culture which makes it more interesting and colorful. Moreover, the Australian events calendar will surely has something to offer through out the year.
When the northern hemisphere is fighting cold waves, Australia has beautiful sunshine with people sun bathing on the beaches. This is one particular reason; people are flocking to Australia to beat the cold weather of their country. People here follow the culture of work hard and party harder as they sweat it out till Fridays and spend the 2 days of weekend vacationing in different parts of the country.
It has many tourists’ attractions which attracts a lot of tourist all through the year. One of the places being Tasmania whose one-fifth part is reserved as a World Heritage area. Koala bear and kangaroos are the two things which come to mind whenever there is a mention about Australia. It is home to about 20 million kangaroos which can be found in their natural habitat at the various wild life parks like Kakadu National Park and Namadgi National Park. Though, wildlife tourism is in its infancy in Australia but slowly in-bound and foreign travelers are looking for wildlife tourist destinations.
As Australia is surrounded by water from all sides; sand, sun and surf is the rule here and every traveler would like to visit the beach and enjoy the beach activities. Gold coast on the south of Brisbane which is home to few of the biggest amusement parks like Dreamworld, Sea World and Movie World and many luxury resorts which are very popular among high end tourists. Sunshine Coast, Bondi, Maroubra and Cornulla are the few other popular beaches in Australia. When it comes to water activities, Australia is the ideal destination for surfing, under water activities and water sports.
People looking for happening cities can pay a visit to places like Sydney famous for Opera House. Even visiting Hyde Park at night is also a great experience and so is the case with visiting Sydney sea harbor. King Cross Street and Oxford Street are the places which comes alive at night in Sydney. Canberra, Adelaide, Perth and Darwin are other few popular cities having a metropolis culture with interesting sights and night life. Cairns is also popular among people who wish to visit the Great Barrier Reef for its beautiful water creatures. Visiting Australia is a fulfilling experience with so many things to offer for everyone and an event calendar that promises to keep you busy through out the year.
